I start today
I start my consulting job today. It will be about a two month project.
I will be working with ASP.Net on Mono building a prototype solution to help a comapany evaluate a development technology shift. It is an interesting project because of some of the technologies being put together. The plan is to use VS.Net 2005 for the development tool, the opensource mono .net runtime, mysql on the backend. In addition the project will contain unit tests, compatibility planning (at various levels), a continuous integration and build environment (build server), testing and staging servers for deployment, and a slew of other glue technologies. Part of the project is to document the process of putting all this stuff together in a coherent way. I expect that I can make part of this documentation public.
