Jess was a little nervous. Despite meeting a string of hot boys at college, she'd never actually been on a date-date. And now this boy Sammy was suggesting he take her "somewhere nice", as an apology for sleeping with her. Or something.

Dressed in a casual black dress, Jess had gone for a simple, understated look, with minimal hairdressing or make-up.

She wanted to show the cute guy that she could play by his rules too.

As Jess opened the door, Sam couldn't help the look that came over his face for a second, rather awe-struck before he brought his facial features back under control.

"You look... wow," he managed, a silly little smile creeping across his face.

Jess tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled, almost shyly.

"Too much? I tried to, y'know, tone it down."

"No, no," Sam was almost too quick to disagree. "You look fantastic," he added, more coherent on the second attempt.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked, offering an arm if she was.
