when you showed me this in san francisco, i knew the pattern was familiar...
monsieur daisy bunny looks as if he sprang forth from a set of curtains my great-grandmother gave me when i was small. my mother thought they were hideous and instead of hanging them, gave each a satin-y trim. one curtain-blanket for me and one for my brother.
i saw mine bloom once...
right before i tasted the sweetest strawberry of my life.
