The shitty part of all that is that if you have a real work ethic, then that business model doesn't work (working enough to not get fired, paying enough so they don't quit). For guys like you and I, it doesn't work, because we will bust our asses for the satisfaction of doing it right. 95-99% of the rest of the world sees it the other way, and that is a shame. It is a rare emplyer that will actually pay you what you are worth and proportionally to the effort you put in. That, my friend, is called a good emplyer.

Thought for you is - the boss has now lost one person that was buttering his bread for him. You on the other hand now have the opportunity to buy a whole lot of butter for your own bread with some left over to share. I think it took this to get your butt in gear and stop being a camper and become the climber !
