Frost exitted the tower after having done a bit of business. Business was such a fucking chore, but it had to be done to keep up his accustomed lifestyle. His west coast acquisitions were going exactly as planned and a similar tower was already being planned there. Ground had been broken on it's development just last week, even. New York City had always been his home, but it was going to be nice to have an alternate place to go to when he felt like it. He grinned at the thought and wondered how Pepper would feel about sporadic trips to L.A. and the beach. The beach at night was a wonderful thing.
He glanced back at his tower after he had moved away from it some. Something didn't feel...right. Everything looked normal though. One of his doormen even nodded to him. Frost shrugged off the feeling. It was probably nothing.
She looked over the balcony, and down at the entrance to the hotel. With the lights as bright as they were Pepper could just make out the people coming and going below here. Somewhere down there was Deacon, heading out for the night. She leaned over the edge, bending at the waist to see more clearly, then pulled back when she couldn't pick him out from the rest of the night owls

Deacon felt the rumbles in the ground before he saw anything happen to the tower. At first, it didn't compute. Was this an earthquake? In fucking New York? What the fuck was that? Then as the building began to shift, he realized what was going on.
His eyes burned red as rage overtook him. Blood dripped from his palms as his nails stabbed deep holes into them, and he didn't notice. Somebody was attacking his tower. No, worse, they already had. They had bombed his fucking tower! The place where he carried out most of his business
