Ah. Just finished up working at the last performance of the play at the Yiddish Book Center. It was such a cute show. Shame, really, now I'm going to have to wake up even earlier to get to work in Holyoke. Ugggghhh

you would probably looove it. It's the National Yiddish Book Center, and they go all over the world rescuing and preserving yiddish books. they do lots of programs about yiddish, and I'm actually seeing a play there this weekend that was translated from yiddish and is being performed in english for the first time ever, called The Magic Mirror. It's great. Everything in the building is written in English and Yiddish, and they teach a lot about the history and preservation of the language. xD it makes me feel really wasp-y.

it's also in this adorable building, designed to look like a sheitel. It's on the hampshire campus- I can see it from my dorm window!
