My dad's an idiot. I heard him talking to my mom about my future. He asked her what I wanted to be and she told him that I still wanted to teach. Granted that's what I'm probably going to do, I have no idea really. Anyways. He's like, "Why would she go to Brown University for that?" Okay, first of all, I'm not even considering Ivy League schools.

Hah oh boy can I relate to that story. My dad wants me to go to friggin Felician College because I'd get a full scholarship based on my GPA/likely SAT score. I told him no way in hell I'm even applying. Yet word got around to my grandpa, so when I visited him at the hospital he told me I should go there. Hhsfkgaruisghagh. I got mail from MIT too, and my dad thinks the same way as yours. If I get mail from them, I'm obviously considering them.

It'll be ok though. We could just skip college and perform Boho Days naked on street corners for money.

Okay, so I'm basically in love with the Boho Days plan.

I am NOT going to Kean no matter what anyone says. I didn't work as hard as I've worked to go to a school that most people could get into because I feel I could do better. Like I know Kean's a good teaching school, but yeah...no.

But I'm definitely considering the Boho Days thing. Sounds much better than college.

Oohhh no don't let your dad force Kean on you. We went to an open house there for my brother, and they didn't talk about academics. They just talked about diversity.

And the dorms are gross.

Dude You need to aim high. Aim high and apply to any school you want. Remember there is money saved up for your college and you are more book smart than I ever was I think you should try for Columbia or somewhere big. Hell I applied to NYU for grad school. Steve had no right to say that, you go and get the best education at the institution you want and don't be afraid of the cost or the loans

What gets me is that if I were to (by some chance) get into an Ivy League school, you know damn well that he'd waste no time telling every single one of the members of his family that his daughter got into an Ivy League school. He'd brag like as if there was no tomorrow. He annoys me, I don't care.
