The Master took one of the two remaining drawers out, popped a piece of chocolate into his mouth, and then called Gwen's mobile. She might have been wondering about Jack, but perhaps not. At any rate, their conversation would doubtlessly prove to be more entertaining than any he might have had with the Captain.

At the sound of her mobile ringing, Gwen paused. She wondered if it was Owen calling to tell her she'd left something at his flat.

Pulling it from her purse and flipping it open, she started to walk again as she answered. "Hello?"

"I wasn't sure if I ought to contact you again, but hello." She would know who he was without him saying so.

Oh. So, not Owen, then.

"David," Gwen replied, sounding guarded. "I wasn't expecting to hear from you so soon."

It took very little time at all to arrive at the coffeeshop. One bodyguard would be tailing him while the other would be keeping an eye on the lab. Of course, The Master was certain Lucy would keep an eye on him and The Rani would keep an eye on everyelse. And, really, he wished his secret location would have stayed a secret. 'Always room for one more' had never been his motto.

He waited patiently at a table, deciding he would order a drink after Gwen joined him.

A few minutes later, Gwen met him there. She sat down in the chair across from him, noticing he'd had the manners to not order a drink without her.

"Hello." She wasn't quite sure what to say to him now.

"Hello," he echoed in a thoughtful tone, glancing about before focusing on her. "Did you want anything to drink?"

"Coffee would be fine, thanks," Gwen replied, her tone polite. "Really, really strong coffee."
