Extremely annoyed by the interruption of the alarms, the Rani stalked through the main complex. Determined to put an end to whomever was fool enough to break in, she stalked into a meeting room only to come to a somewhat surprised halt as her favorite experimental subject came skidding through the other door. Not a break-in, but a break-out. She'll have to put paid to that quickly, and then...discuss the sloppy work with the responsible parties.

"Leaving so soon, Jack? And here I thought we'd come to a reasonable agreement."

"Damn it," Jack whispered and looked for a way out. Any way out was great. Any what-so-ever... and there was none. His room was back the other way, and retina scans were out of the question. He didn't have anything but reasoning, no matter how insane it sounded.

"What do you want with me?" He was once able to reason his way out of a nation-wide draft. This should've been easy. "You won't find out anything new. You have blood and skin samples and... What else do you plan on doing?" He looked ready to give up and yet he was so far from it. He wanted to scream and fight and kick, but maybe if she believed she'd pity him.

A sly little smirk was all he got for an answer, in the beginning. She leaned casually against the wall and examined his apparent defeat through half-closed eyes, until the moment before the silence would have driven him to speech again. Jack isn't broken...yet. But give her enough time, and she'll have him obedient and well-trained. For now, she would just have to play a little, as she was still feeling out what made him tick.

"What do I want with you? Jack, really. Asking a scientist that question? Why, I've barely begun to examine you properly! All the tests...those were just preliminaries."

Jack scowled and looked behind him. Everything was blocked. Everything. There had to be a way to get out. "Fuck you," he finally hissed at her as he glanced back towards her. He wasn't going to just sit here and get tested on, and let Torchwood be destroyed. No, he had to get the hell away. He just didn't know how.
