CHARACTER
✧ NAME: Alice
✧ SERIES: Pandora Hearts
✧ HISTORY:
Pandora Hearts wiki page. ✧ TIMELINE: Chapter 56.
✧ PERSONALITY: Little is known about Alice's life spent in the abyss. The earliest memory she holds after being reincarnated into a chain, is of her waking up in the dark empty world with only her name and a conviction to find her lost memories. Consequently, she had lost all memory of human emotions. This of course doesn't mean she is unable to feel emotion. Despite all the mystery surrounding her and the abyss Alice is very free and open with her emotions, she just has a very limited understanding of what her emotions are or just what it is she's feeling. The girl is an open book with no qualms letting everyone know what's on her mind. If she's angry, things will be broken and people may get hurt. When sad, she will cry openly and if hungry... well you had better get her some food or step out of the way.
When we are first introduced to Alice, she comes off as aggressive and heartless, taking only what she wants with no regard for the well being of others. This is mostly due to the kill or be killed life style she had grown accustomed to during her hundred year captivity in the abyss. This behavior only worsens when she first returns to the surface world. Everything is new and for once not everything around her is a threat. The girl is thrown and like any animal in fear, she lashes out. For example when Break threatens to arrest Oz (Whose body she is hiding in at the time), she took control of the boy's body and held Sharon hostage at knife point so she could escape. Thankfully, the more time she spends around other humans (namely Oz) the more she grows to like some of the things in their world and as a result, she becomes less hostile. One of her favorite things being meat. Any kinds of cooked meats she loves, which is strange considering chains are only known to eat human souls. Alice for reasons still not fully discovered in manga, doesn't eat humans nor has a desire to. This further aids her in reconnecting with humans again.
Even with the harsh environment of the abyss gone, Alice is still a fighter. For close to hundred years, B. Rabbit has been known as the strongest chain in the abyss and this reputation has made her incredibly egotistical. If anyone or anything comes to make her question her own abilities, she is quick to challenge it and reassure her position as the alpha (This doesn't always work out well for her with her limited powers in the human world). Alice is also very possessive of things or people she considers her property. Mostly seen when her claim of ownership over Oz is threatened, namely by that green-haired imbecile, Gilbert. She is quick to snap at him or anyone that tries to take her contractor away with violent verbal outburst or even physical abuse.
In reality, her temper contradicts her inner-self. Even with her ego and self-confidence, Alice is terrified of being alone again and of what she might truly be. But even with her fears of the truth, it's not enough to derail her from her goal. The girl, has an unshakable resolve (a trait that is often admired by Oz) and a surprisingly cheerful optimism that even a bleak life of confinement hasn't been able to dampen. As headstrong, stupid and insensitive as she can be, she still has quite a clear perception of things happening around her and in her own strange way she can be very considerate to the people she holds dear. For example, when she notices how down Oz is acting, she tries to cheer him up with something she once saw in a book. It was a picture of a girl kissing a boy on the cheek and the boy looking very happy about it. Unfortunately she mistook the kiss for a bite and instead of kissing Oz to cheer him up, she ended up chomping down on his cheek.
Alice is also very curious about everything around her. Often, she puts things she shouldn't in her mouth, since she has yet to distinguish that not everything that smells nice in the human world should be eaten. Though she's clueless about her origins and has yet to find her true identity, she has accepted everything about her current self and what she's been through without even a hint of self pity. She wants to know about her self and her reason for existing more than anything, but still (unknowingly) manages to be the most self aware character in the series.
✧ ABILITIES/POWERS: Being a chain Alice has the ability to form a contract with a human of her choice. If the human agrees to the terms, with the consumption of some of her blood, she and her contractor become connect mentally and at times physically (She is able to enter their body and control it), but due to the actions of Gilbert, her powers have been sealed with in his right arm and Oz's body. Normally she is able to transform into her battle form only when Gilbert and Oz release the seal placed on her powers, but on rare occasions her contractor (Oz) is able to release her powers on his own. Normally when he's under a high stress situation. She also wont use her transformation often since it causes her contractor pain and shortens his life.
When her powers are released, she is able to change form a human girl into a giant black rabbit with red eyes. Her weapon, is a red scythe which is able to cut through most anything, she also can make thick metal chains appear to bind her enemies or impale them with their dagger like tips. Her strength and agility is limitless and she was known to be the most powerful chain in the Abyss.
In her human form she seems to have more strengthen than an average human as she is able to break her bed in half when Break upsets her one morning. She doesn't seem to have full control of this though and it often only occurs when she's angered or upset. Aside from that she has a strong sixth sense making her able to sense danger and distress within other people. Much like how an animal is able to sense things from people and their surroundings.

SAMPLES
✧ FIRST PERSON: ((Video))
[There is a soft crunch sound when the video flashes on. The device is facing up and what looks like a girl's ankle appears on screen once she removes her foot from on top of it.]
Eh? What's this thing? [She picks it up and an annoyed yet curious expression crosses her young face, though it's hard to see from behind her black rabbit mask. She sniffs the device, then runs her tongue over it.]
BLECK! You don't taste good at all! [Or maybe this was just a shell of some sort? She puts the machine back in her mouth and chews on it until it starts to make some beeping noises.]
Hm? PLECK! [The girl spits it out and plops down on the ground.]
You're alive?! ...Oy, I'm talking to you! [She gives it a poke and another beep is heard.]
Alright then you stupid thing, listen up! I want to know where I am! How do I get out of here! And where my manservant is and I want those answers now! [Her stomach gives a grumble in the brief moment of silence.]
I also want to know where the food is in this damn place. I'm really hungry! [The chain stares down at it and waits for an answer... and waits... and now she's really angry.]
... Are you listening to me?! Hey! HEY! ...You useless trash! ANSWER ME RIGHT NOW!
[She growls and stands up to tower over her "victim".] FINE! If you wont talk, then I'll MAKE YOU SCREAM!
[The last thing seen is her foot slamming down before the feed cuts off.]
✧ THIRD PERSON:
After torturing that hard shelled creature bore no helpful outcome, Alice had grown bored and even more frustrated. Her heels softly clicked across the concrete surface of the street. She didn't recognize this place, nor did she remember coming outside from the party. This only added anxiety to the mix of emotions going through her. She was alone. Well... almost alone. She glances around the slightly busy streets, the people seemed fairly warm and alive, yet something felt off. She couldn't quite place what it was, but since there was no immediate danger, she let her guard down the smallest of fractions.
The real question hanging in the air was 'How?' and 'Where?' She couldn't remember how she'd gotten here. The last thing she could remember was being at Oz's coming of age ceremony at night. She lifted her hand to tip back her rabbit mask and shielded her eyes from the sunlight. No, something about this place was more than just a little strange.
"Oz, you useless idiot... WHERE ARE YOU!" Her voice echoed through the streets and a few residents turned to gawk at her seemingly random outburst. She of course paid them no mind as she huffed in annoyance. These people were nothing but background noise to her, so long as they kept their distance. "You're supposed to call for me when you're lost..." Or maybe, he wasn't the one that was lost? Maybe he just lost her... Well, that was an even worse thing to do! 'That stupid litt-!'This was all his fault! If he had stayed by her side like a good servant was supposed to do, she wouldn't have to go looking for him! She sighed in frustration. No, he couldn't have stayed like she wanted. It was his coming of age ceremony. Though she hadn't wanted to, she gave him his space and let him perform in the strange human ritual. Her hands clutched tightly to the front of her dress when her worries started to reveal insecurities. This was still a very poor excuse for losing her! Oz was her property, he knew better than that and if not, he'd pay for not knowing!
Maybe that annoying kelp-haired dolt was hogging her servant's attention again? When would he learn to keep his slimy hands to himself?! She'd have to teach him a lesson after giving Oz a few good bruises of his own. The chain hiked up her long dress and started walking again. No lessons would be had if she couldn't find those idiots first!
