Hey, just recently discovered 'Clocks of the Long Now' through a rec list for Spuffy epics and I gotta say I am SO impressed with it. I've read my fair share of fic over the years and it's rare that you come across something of such quality. I think I've maybe found something as good as this in the Buffy fandom once or twice before. I haven't read any Buffy fic for a couple of years now and I was looking around for a long well written story which I could get back into the fandom with and, oh boy, I think you totally ruined me. Nothing is going to measure up after this

Hi!
I'll start with the first part last:
"Oh, and sorry if this review is a little disjointed I'm not someone who reviews very often, only if something really makes me go 'woah', so I'm not very practiced at it."
No, it's not disjointed at all. It'salso one of the longest and loveliest reviews I've ever gotten, actually. This really brightened my day. Thank you so much!
"I also loved all the original elements you added to it, at first I was a little unsure because you never know what you're going to get with original characters but Jack Turtle and Nancy and her Garden ended up blowing my mind."
I think my favorite part of writing it was trying to come up with new characters to challenge the gang. I was pretty worried too, especially about trying to get Nancy Stark across as a "Big Bad" worthy of the TV series. The BTVS bad guys were mostly so interesting and complex, so while I enjoyed it, I also filled me with angst and dread.
"The classiest part of 'Clocks of the Long Now' for me was the way you effortlessly managed to

I'm not sure that I can add anything to the praise you have already received above, but I just had to take a moment to tell you how much I enjoyed reading Clocks of the Long Now. I just finished it last night and I am already planning on reading it again. I want to go back and take the time to really enjoy all the details and references that you wove so seamlessly into the story. I know I missed so many of them the first time because I was rushing though the words so feverishly to find out what would happen next. I loved that you were able to switch between all the different points of view and yet it never seemed disjointed or confusing.
I can't imagine how much time and energy it took to create this incredible adventure, but I wanted to thank you for writing it and for sharing it with us.
Thanks so much for this comment. It took about four years to finish, (including a two year "vacation" of writer's block) so I still think about it from time to time, and am always delighted to hear from anyone who has read it. I've been working on a sequel called "Midnight Empire", but otherwise I haven't really written much else in the fandom.
