To anyone still reading... in your opinion, what is a "Hate Crime"? do you think it has to be a physical thing? can it be emotional? does it have to be intended, or can it be unintentional? Does the victim have to feel harmed in some way? I'd love to know what you think ( Read more... )

a "hate Crime"? Well, it can be either planned or not... it depends on the circumstances. For example a woman who is being beaten by her husband can suddenly hit him or stab him to death... just on the spur of the moment... but you can also plan the crime, very carefully in fact... I think that's more like a hate crime. The first example would be that of a "self-defence" or even a "fear" crime.

Probably you plan it very well when you hate someone so much you want to kill them.

Thanks for responding :)
I think when I was saying "hate crime" I meant in particular... something motivated by hatred toward a different race, or religion, or actually to the point, something against someones sexual beliefs. aka 'gay-bashing' etc.
