5. those deer are amazing. down here, the best wildlife we get on any regular basis are nutria, and they're gross.

4. how's kevin shields of mbv? i assume it was your wife in the above dialogue, because you were not being insulted as much as kevin shields would have.

3. you don't have to tell me about the lowest of the low. it's been probably ten years now, and i'm still in love with them well more than i should be.

2. i've lost at least one friend in part to them not ascribing to the idea of friend dollars, so to speak. there was more to it than that, but the idea that i was not good enough to them got thrown around. it was especially hurtful to me, as i (perhaps wrongly) pride myself on being good (though not always nice) to my friends. the parenthetical before, though, it's what drives me to keep trying to be better for my friends.

also on that subject, i have the hardest time convincing people they don't owe me when i cover a meal or something ( ... )

3. ah got L of th L from you, Billy Ray, you sent me it, and that was a secret shoutout 2U, but now ah done gone and said it out loud

2. W/ th likes of you, loyal and thoughtful, ah seriously doubt you got anything to worry about in th F$ department; everybody ah know that you know knows you're a billionaire

which ain't to say you ain't got some secret dark side

Ah'm jest saying that if ah were a betting man, ah'd put my money on Billy Ray's Spider-Man nature 7 times out of 7

I treasure this komment and will think on it some more before replying agin,

4. i love ornery kitties as much as sweet ones, really. as long as they got personality. poor old kev. hope he comes to live with ya soon.

2. my dark secret side isn't really a secret. it's just easier to hide online. i'm not too worried about my balance, but it's an interesting phenomenon to swim through. a tricky one sometimes. it's nice to know others recognize it, though.

1. i like to think i have become a collectivist through recognizing where responsibility lies.

Just reading. >25% through Infinite Jest (while the subject of infinity bubbles up). Got deer out the wazoo here. Not as nice looking as yours. They's "mule-ies" (Mule deer), and look pretty hick-ish, even for deer. This playlist looks awful familiar.

Someone back east wonders "do I hunt"? I answer, "Only birds". I've been informed that the Latter Day Saints folks around here tried to cover up a battle ground near here between the Apache and the Southern Utes. There were a bunch of skulls and arrowheads found in Graneros Gorge (they were encroaching upon each other's deer supply...but it was a hard year) and that conflicted with something on the time-line of what old Joe Smith prophsied. (Is it proph-e-see, or proph-e-sigh?)

howdy, A., ah think in that case, it'd be prof-eh-sighed

Prophecy ("see") would be for th noun form

'less ah'm rememberin' wrong, but ah don't think ah am

You like th Funkadelic, th Shuggie, th Moses, right? There'll probably be more funk 'fore this is all over

yeah, grew up right next to family that moved to Colorado from Montgomery, AL right after the bombing of the church in the early Sixties. It tempered my tastes somewhere between Stevie Wonder and Three Dog Night very early on.

happy about deer coming close enough to shoot but suspect it is because they are starving lostcosmonaut April 3 2011, 12:04:23 UTC
i like music that is resistant to overplaying, because of my tendency to push repeat on stuff I like; that's a circular explanation, isn't it

Anyhow, for instance, if I were alone, I'd be able to listen to this

http://blip.fm/profile/lostcosmonaut/blip/63782848/Tina+Turner%E2%80%93Working+Together%E2%80%93Official+unreleased+Music+Video

10 or 11 times in a row, easy, before beginning to get an itch to switch

... mebbe 30x in a row, even

or, even better example: you know how Sly & th Family Stone have been used on a buhzillion TV and radio ads, besides being on pretty heavy oldies rotation? That woulda ruined pretty much any other band, but they've survived and stayed pure ...... mebbe "Everyday People" got tainted a little ............

Saw a BBC documentary last night about chaos theory and how it skronks our future-prediction abilities, like, totally. It does not matter how big your flash light is, turns out, as you already knew but I guess can discover from many different angles:

Secret Life of Chaos
59 minutes, highly recommended

My post-documentary reading somehow got me to the Ship of Theseus, another ancient Greek "same river" question, i.e. if you replace a plank on Theseus' ship every time it wears out, and eventually you have replaced the whole ship, what ship are you riding on? How about if, every time you take one of the wonky planks off, you use it to build a different boat? Then which one of the boats is the Ship of Theseus ( ... )
