When I called the Derm and explained the situation I was told to bring her in as soon as the rash flares back up, just to walk in (oddly, the rash is barely there and rather normal looking, which is what usually happens when we finally get to our appointment time....that's why I take pics of everything now)....anyway, they want to scrape it to take a look under the microscope.
The redness and bumps are gone but you can still see it under the skin if you look really closely and she says it still hurts. There isn't anything to scrape right now, but that will probably change before the end of the week. It makes me feel better to know I can just run over there when it flares back up.
I called the immunologist and scheduled an appointment. He is going to run the celiac blood test instead of waiting for our January appt with the GI doc. He's also going to test her for food allergies.
