I found out tonight that while smoking a cigarette in movies looks very smooth, smoking one in real life is alot like coughing up a lung. Then someone tosses some acid in your eyes and punches you in the gut ( Read more... )

That's exactly what I figured, my whole family smokes so there MUST be something good about it! Haha. That and I've been like, getting second hand smoke for 18 years, so I thought it wouldnt be too far off from that. Oy. You're strong for not only DOING it, but for doing it and quitting.

You wouldnt believe how much I was coughing, it was hilarious. In a non-dying sort of way.

heh yeah, I smoked for a fun two and a half years there.

I'm still not sure why. Maybe stress releif and all that. Anyway, I just stopped one day. Wasn't as bad as all that.

It wasn't difficult to stop, for you? I've always wondered, because people make it sounds like giving up smoking is the absolute hardest thing you'll ever do in your life.
