The previous owners of our townhouse had some great things planted in the garden. I was kind of thrilled to discover all the mint and the tiny strawberries that spread like wildfire, and we were both surprised by what turned out to be a clematis growing on the tree on our front yard. Those are gorgeous. One of my favorite things about lilies are the stalks, believe it or not. We had a surplus of tiger lilies, but I doubt they'll make an appearance this year. We have a lot of replanting to do.

This makes me want to take pictures of our Icelandic poppies. They're mixed in with a bunch of other wildflowers and they just take my breath away.

The stalks have a lot of personality. I like them. But the bloooooms. They make me want to roll around and do crazy flips like a cat with catnip.

Those poppies are beautiful!
