I'm a sucker for pre-Occupation fics about Kara and Sam on New Caprica, and I really enjoyed this one. So many lovely details, and it feels so right for both characters. I can imagine their marriage (before all the badness) being just like this.

Thank you! Later we get implications that some real bonding took place during that year, but it's too bad we didn't get to see more of it as it happened. It couldn't be easy for them, but I imagine the good times were good.

I love your Kara/Sam fic, so I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face. The hopefulness! The fun and sarcasm! The paints!

Kara strikes me as such a tactile person, so I could definitely see her reacting this way to the first rain on New Caprica even as she acknowledges that she's probably hate it in a short time.

Loved Sam's understanding of her feelings about flying, and liked the use of his for Pyramid in conjunction.

Both seemed very in character in their reactions through out :)

Really liked the glimpses of their adjusting to not just living on the planet, but to their marriage. I've always liked Sam, and you remind me here why.

I have no doubts NC weather got old quickly, but at first it must've been such a welcome change of pace! I always imagine tactile Kara really eating up the first few storms as she adjusted.

Thank you for reading and leaving such a wonderful comment! I'm so glad this could ring true for you.
