Thanks for playing, lady! 5 is Five Times Sam Anders Gets the Girl (Back)1. I like that it's the first (and by far the most) smutty thing I've taken to AO3. While I don't always feel a need to write sex scenes in any detail, I saw the prompt "returning" for Kara/Sam in a porn battle and the idea took hold immediately. It's as much about the general push and pull of the K/S relationship and their respective characterization over the course of canon as it is about the sex they have, and I like that about it ( ... )

13 is Begin Again If You Must, a short Lost fic written for in_the_blue just after season six premiered. She prompted me with Kate, Jack, and mistakes.

1. It's Kate and Jack in a time loop, which was one of my favorite Lost theories moving into the last season, and I think they had a decent enough set-up for it that it's a shame they didn't go that route in the end. Gwynne's prompt and the season six finale really lent themselves to those possibilities, though, and I had fun exploring that.

2. While much of the fandom hated her, I loved Kate. While this was never meant to be a very long fic and it's a sparsely-told story, writing this gave me the chance to dip into the potential the writers didn't let Kate's character have. Almost every section of this fic holds a Kate story that I'd love to tell in more detail, and a lot of them make more sense to me than her choosing to publicly go back to the states after they were rescued by Penny. (Don't get me wrong: Kate always always always wanted to get off the island, I think she had every ( ... )
