As much sense as it made to Julia at the time, Julia/Sawyer took me by surprise. (And we all know that if there's Bebop/Lost crossover chemistry that takes me less by surprise, it's Spike/Kate.) But that didn't stop me from finding what they had pretty fascinating.
Sawyer's right, though. As much as we all hate to admit it.
And even they would've worked better than season five.
Wow. Wonderful response to the prompt! This was just fabulous. I enjoyed it for so many reasons. The amazing sense you have of both characters, the dynamic they have, the fact that it's Outpost missing moments (which I always have to love), the way they're both edging around what they really want by being with each other.
Oh, thank you! That's so nice to read! Julia and Sawyer have such distinctly different personalities and voices that writing this was a whole lot of fun -- it almost felt like it wrote itself -- and I'm such an absolute sucker for missing moments.
