her majesty's a pretty nice girl

Hi! I'm going to start this off with my traditional reassurance that I will pleased to be receiving fic for any of these fandoms. Seriously. I've requested in fandoms that I'm going to be thrilled to read even if none of the suggestions I offer as prompts wind up inspiring you. So rest easy and just enjoy yourself!

And if you want those prompts and suggestions, this is the place.

I'm a sucker for canon characterization and strong character voices. I like to read fics that feel like missing moments, as though they could've been from an episode I missed or chapter I skipped over. One of my requests is a prompt suggestion that seems to be at odds with that, but I'll address that below.

These are my requests:

Baccano! - Isaac Dian/Miria Harvent
I just watched Baccano this year, and I adored it within two episodes. I was riveted by its ensemble cast of quirky characters, its disjointed style of storytelling, its atmosphere, and even its music. I asked for a story about Isaac and Miria. While they're often the comic relief of the show, they've got style, big hearts, and what can only be a fascinating love story. I'd love to read about how they met or maybe about their first heist together. Or, as mentioned in my request, maybe you'd prefer to write something taking place in that period of time post-Flying Pussyfoot, before they realized how long they'd lived. If you'd like other characters to make cameos, I couldn't complain!

Lost in Translation - Bob Harris/Charlotte
This movie is one of my favorites. It's always seemed very real to me, but not in a gritty life-on-the-streets sort of way so much as a... well, a slow this-is-what-life-feels-like-from-day-to-day way. I loved the companionship that developed between these two total strangers, and I also loved the affection and attraction between them, even though it was almost entirely unadmitted. I'd like to read about how their experiences in Japan affected them. What happened when they left? Whether you choose to focus on one character or both, I'd be happy to read it. My sentimental side would be overjoyed if Bob and Charlotte were reunited at some point, even if it isn't romantically.

Little Women - Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy
This is the one prompt I make that doesn't completely jive with my usual likes. If you feel so inspired, I'd actually like to see your take on what life would've been like for the March sisters if Beth hadn't died young. What would've been different? Whose lives would've changed the most? What would Beth end up doing? I realize it's difficult to keep characters to that canon feel when you manipulate their story in such a way, but I'll appreciate any effort made on this. And if the idea is something you can't make work, that's fine! I'll be just as happy with any heartwarming slice of life for the March girls. Jo is my favorite, and I'm especially fond of her relationships with all of her sisters and her friendship (that had a shot at something more) with Laurie.

I've even got a link to my Yuletide letter from last year, if that's helpful and you're the Yuletide-stalk-for-info type!

Thank you in advance! I'm so excited to read what you write.
