In-Character Information
Name (and age/-relevance if applicable): Pyro the Houndour, 15
Series: Pokémon
Occupation or status upon arrival: Tourist

Personality:

Outwardly, Pyro is arrogant, seemingly selfish, and self-subservient. He does not and will not rely on someone else for something that he can do on his own, and he doesn't like people following him around especially. He dislikes long conversation, as his mind often wanders onto what he would consider more important matters. He also trusts nobody, and refuses to do anything for anybody unless it has some gain for him or unless it is unavoidable. He is extremely defensive and tends to overreact at almsot anything.

Inwardly, Pyro is the end result of a very neglected and abandoned Houndour. He is scared of trusting others in fear that they will use him or simply toss him aside like his parents did. He often lies down in grass or around trees when it's night, letting the past haunt his mind and torment him as it has ever since it happened. His biggest worry is that he is not strong enough to defend himself if a real danger comes, and thus would rather not allow someone else to defend him or get hurt because of his actions, hence why he pushes everyone away.

Pyro will sound mean when he speaks, but usually most people should get used to the tone of voice after a while - he can generally only speak with other Pokemon and the trainers when it comes to actually talking. He also sometimes opts to run away from a problem rather than tackling it, building his fear. He hates all Houndour packs because it reminds him of his past; however he can't help but feel remorse for any lone Houndour he meets, because it reminds him of himself.

He is very capable of emotions other than what he shows, but it would take someone patient enough to deal with his constant defensive motives and also the will to follow him around. If you're lucky, you may gain his trust; but he is wary of anyone he talks to, despite the fact that inside his spirit is shaking and wallowing in fear.

Backstory:

Pyro was born into a family of 43 Houndours; an abnormally high amount compared to most 20-30 cub packs. His Houndoom parents seemed very capable of taking care of them all, and they trained their fire attacks and dark abilities throughout days and weeks on end. Pyro had fun playing with his brothers and sisters, and often got into playfights with them.

One day, however, they were traversing a large mountaincliff, and a rockslide occurred at the worst possible time - Pyro was cut off from his brethren and his parents. As he barked and yowled, none of them bothered to turn around or even acknowledge his yelping, which was quickly turning to a scared howl.

Working as fast as he could, Pyro scaled the rocks that had fallen in front of him, and got up to the top, howling again and knowing his family could hear him. The Houndoom parents turned around, and gave him a glare - a glare that scared him so badly he fell back down, yelping in pain as he landed on his back. Not knowing what happened, or what to do, he curled up beside the bed of rocks, and cried silently to himself.

Days, weeks passed since the incident. Pyro had been walking away from what happened, not knowing if he could defend himself without his family. He didn't even want to go back after seeing what his parents did. After a while, he ran across a couple of Murkrows, who decided to cause some trouble and scare him off. This stirred the Houndour quite a bit - he let out a howl and shot an ember from his mouth at one of the Murkrows - it hit and knocked it over, angering the other Murkrow; it was no longer a game, it was serious. The Murkrow attacked, scarring the side of Pyro's face - but the Houndour quickly retaliated by leaping up and slashing the bird across the body. Dealing sufficient damage to it, he watched the bird writhe and faint.

Satisfied with it, he continued on his journey, somewhat proud for being able to defend himself. It was then that he began a journey of becoming stronger, learning new attacks and relying on himself.

He turned 15 years after, and was somewhat more confident in his actions. He became self-sufficient and learned how to take care of himself in every aspect possible - but he couldn't help but feel hatred towards most things around him, and fear that even what he learned wouldn't be enough - but he couldn't forgive his parents for what they did, and he couldn't forgive the Murkrows for treating him like a playtoy.

Soon enough, he found Diamond City, and decided to rest for a while. He knew he needed some rest, and perhaps some time to get things off of his mind. He made a decision to leave as quickly as possible, as to avoid any confrontations or annoying people.

What brings this person to Diamond City?:

Pyro wishes to rest and then leave. More than likely someone or a few people will convince him to stay. Somehow.

Misc. Notes:

- His moves are: Flamethrower (upgraded from Ember, though his current 'Thrower is weak), Slash, Bite, and Scary Face.

- His arrogance can lead to fights, so expect him to be at the stadium quite a bit during the day.

- Pyro HATES water above anything else. He will refuse to go outside when it's raining, and water attacks scare him a little, but he won't show it. He won't avoid water-type Pokemon just because of this, however.
