But I don't like blackouts. Or, as I used to call them in Manila, "brownouts". The difference? I don't know. Maybe since we had them so often we didn't want the darkness to sound so harsh. I think I liked brownouts more because when you're a kid, it's an excuse to play with candles and it's not like you have a hundred other urgent things to do

So were ours brownouts because they were scheduled? That was the time the whole country was having power shortages, and everyone took turns not having power . . .

I also remember one time when ate dessa took us to ALABANG TWIN CINEMA to watch a movie to pass the brownout time and our liteace got stuck in the-then gravel parking lot. And here comes Roderick Paoulate (sp?) to save the day. Teehee. That was fun too!
