...It is difficult to meet people outside your department in any substantial way once you hit graduate school. (I am told once you leave academia you begin to parooze the super market for love.)I agree with this whole-heartedly. I've been perusing other walmart employees for dates, which doesn't sound so pathetic until you've actually written it down (typed it up?). *sigh
