[If Grune should wander near the barracks at any point after that, she might notice a dark shadow appearing over the ground a few yards ahead.

Two seconds and an annoyed "gah" later, that dark shadow will turn out to be Giles, who has just been dropped in an ignominious heap out of a spot three feet in the air by a Wallmaster who is having far too much fun yanking him all over the village.

He's just...going to lay there and get his breath, thanks.]

[Her perpetually cheerful mood not even dented by her abrupt awakening, Grune indeed is wandering near the barracks. She doesn't notice the shadow, but she does notice the whole suddenly, Giles! thing.

She makes her way over to stand next to where he's lying.]

Oh, good morning, Giles!

[Giles is just going to...lay still and grumble in pain and wounded pride for a few seconds as his vision clears from the abrupt landing.

Suddenly, Grune!

He blinks in shock before sitting up abruptly. This is not a good thing, as his head is definitely aching both from the landing and the forcible transport. So Giles winces, pressing a hand to his forehead, before he manages to find his voice.]

Good morning, Grune.

...it is still morning, yes?

Oh, is it?

[Still, that wince can't escape the attention of even Grune, and so she crouches down by his side.] Did you bump your head?

No worries, I can be patient! *crosses figers anyway* consultmybooks July 29 2011, 00:42:01 UTC
[He shakes his head, which...okay, ow.]

Just a bit. I'm all right. Thank you, Grune. [He's not unconscious, so this is actually a step up for him.]

I only ask, because...well, the last place I was tugged out of was quite dark.

XD THAT LIST. How is he still a genius? lostinmyway July 29 2011, 00:46:10 UTC
Oh, my, where were you?

No one knows. His "wake up one day in a coma" tag is an actual quote from S3. consultmybooks July 29 2011, 00:48:13 UTC
I...

[Giles looks around, actually registering where he is. Then he gets to his feet and indicates in the direction of Building 7.]

Over there. By the apartment. It was, um, it was quite dark.

XD Geez. lostinmyway July 29 2011, 00:55:18 UTC
[She straightens to give him a puzzled look.] Oh, is it nighttime there?

And that's just until the end of S6. I'd say he's up to twenty two or twenty three by the end. consultmybooks July 29 2011, 00:57:49 UTC
[Giles continues staring in the direction of Building 7. From this distance? It doesn't look like the dark, monsoon ravaged jungle is still there, but...well, who can say from this distance.]

Yes, it is. Or, um, was. It looks as though it's gone now.

That poor man. lostinmyway July 29 2011, 01:02:58 UTC
Oh, all right. [Nothing is ever strange to Grune. Ever.]

...yes. All right. [Giles casts Grune a concerned sidelong glance.] Are you, um, are you all right, Grune?

I can see why. XD lostinmyway July 29 2011, 01:05:45 UTC

[...staring cautiously up at the sky. Wallmasters. Why did it have to be Wallmasters?"]

...yes, it is.

Now if it will just stay that way.

[Grune looks up at the sky as well, to see what Giles is looking at.] Do you think it's going to rain?

I...I'm not sure. Possibly. [What it will rain is anyone's guess.] If I had to guess, I'd say we're in the middle of an experiment, and one where it's entirely possible that it might rain unexpectedly.

Oh. All right.

Maybe we should find an umbrella, just in case.
