[Well, now, here's a sight that might be a little familiar to anyone who was around for the June draft earlier this year. There's a table sitting just outside the Welcome Center, and behind it is one Grune ( Read more... )

[Kain was... delayed... back in June, so this is the first he's seen of this. He looks exhausted and battle-worn but as ever he's just astonished to have made it through another draft. This one was horrible in its way though. He doesn't want to see another tunnel anytime soon. So he only gives Grune a slight nod in greeting.]

[That is actually going to be a little difficult. Grune gets some water from the hot water dispenser, but sets the mug down on the table instead of giving it to him.]

It's a little hot right now. Would you like a cookie while you wait?

[Kazooie looks worn and tired and her feathers are dirty... but she's okay.

She's alive.

The nightmare is over, and she can rest easy for awhile, knowing that she came through. Knowing that she's a real hero.

Grune is a familiar and welcome sight, and Kazooie is more than happy to trot up to the table, grab a steaming mug of cocoa, and grin up at her - a bit thinly, but with that familiar confidence.]

Hey, Gruney. Looks like we pulled through again, huh?

[... Not everybody. But... but most of them. They did okay.]
