I smell a whole lot of wet dog...

Lylith was sprawled on top of her comforter. Her HP Pavilion was on it's side and she was doodling aimlessly on the screen. She heard another crash of thunder and grumbled under her breath. Her balcony doors were wide open, curtains danced in the wind and the soft sound of rain splashing on the wood of her balcony made her smile a little. Another ( Read more... )

There came a knock at the door, a heavy thumping, as the rain splattered down over him. Joshua was soaked to the bone, but still, his shirt was stained red and his exposed body was scruffed by dirt and grime. There was still the metallic taste of dirty blood in his mouth. He didn't know why he was at Lylith's, but he was, and he couldn't go anywhere else now.

He just hoped she wouldn't ask questions.

Lylith rolled over again and barely saw Joshua. She took another glance and stared at him for a good twenty seconds before it registered that he was there, and he was obviously hurt. She got up and made her way to Joshua, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Holy... fuck, Josh." She didn't sound angry or irritated, just extremely worried. She led him to the bathroom and pulled off his shirt, throwing it in the garbage can by the sink. "Take off your clothes, okay?"

She reached over to turn on the warm water of the shower and let the huge tub fill up just slightly with water, trying to remain as calm as possible. "Do you need me to call anyone?"

Joshua stood there, completely silent, almost as if in a trance. His chest was ruddy with mud and grime, as if he hadn't been wearing a shirt earlier, and there was blood slashed across his skin like an explosion. Across his face was another splotch of blood, this one zigzagging from left cheek to right and dripping from the corners of his mouth - a very gruesome look indeed.

He wasn't really listening to her, just staring at the floor. "Mm..no.." he muttered, and as an afterthought, "'Lo's gonna be so mad.."

"No, he won't. He'll be worried." She reached over and unbuckled Joshua's pants, sliding them down to his ankles with his boxers. She held back the shower curtain and nodded for him to get in, a soft smile on her face in an attempt to tell him she wouldn't say anything. "We'll wash you up then you can lay down."
