lots of thinking

It all began as a conversation with my dad (a rare occurance in of itself, mind you).

This will be a slightly, only slightly, more organized stream-of-consciousness, so be forewarned.

You might not even remember who I am, but I couldn't resist commenting because I see a lot of me in that. Only difference is, you're doing what you like studying creative writing. I'm doing what I like studying accounting ( ... )

Ah, see it was late. And I never meant it in the sense that the "abstract" fields are superior. Quite the contrary - doing what you want is the only way to go. Each field is right for a different person. Plus, doesn't EVERY field require creativity? I think so. You have to be creative in order to be successful in anything ( ... )

Oh, and basically, I KNEW that in the morning I would be all, "UGH, I'm such a 'tard, that totally didn't come out right" - so just know that you're helping me correct my half-asleep ramblings.

Wow. Sounds like you've got something to tell your PWR girl when you talk to her. Tell her about loving it.

I know for one I am viewed as someone that is wasting my time with what I love. I've spent 20 years playing video games. That's right I was 2 when I got my original nintendo. I loved it from that day, and I always have. There is nothing else in this world that makes me happiest then opening a case to a new game and smelling the plastic. I love the industry and everything that it brings to over. It's a new creative entertainment field, that isn't that new. But it expands the minds of those who play it. So I for one am doing what I love, more then anything. I'm not so much doing marketing anymore, as I'm doing design. I could do marketing, I know I have a gift at selling shit to people but damnit I'd want to start punching people after about 2-3 years of constantly moving and all that horseshit. So Design is for me. I love art programs and I feel that I have a great nak for designing not only games but many other things.

So :muah: honey you are pretty much awesome, and that's why I'm marrying you.
