Valentines Day, put simply, is a holiday where people express their love for each other. Where I'm from its celebrated in various ways depending on the country, but that's the jist of it.

What exactly do you do to express your love for people that's so special for the holiday?

Well as I've known it, and as most people seem to be referring to it here, girls give chocolates to their male friends, and then special, usually home made chocolates to those they have a romantic interest in.

On March 14, there is White Day where boys return the favor with gifts, and if they like the girl in return, something special.

But really, I think anything would be nice, and it shouldn't just be Valentines Day.
