I think people who know nothing about straight edge really need to shut up. Unless you are or have been straight edge more than two minutes before you decided you wanted a cold one, than you honestly have no room to talk shit. I have a strong belief in the family principle behind straight edge can bring unity to a music scene and that's a lot better than smoking cigarettes at shows and staring at everyone else deciding how "fake" everyone else is. Kids who call it a "phase" and talk shit are just disrespectful, and if you want to talk about something that you're to regret doing later it would be talking shit. I don't criticize you for fucking up the body that's been given to you. I don't criticize you for being so weak that you feel the need to impair your thoughts to have a good time.
