Funny how materialism can sneak into your life when you're not paying much attention. Not that I'm finding myself profoundly deep into a materialistic state right now, it just seems to manifest in different ways, some of them not intentional

I miss the cheap wine, too.

But here in Chicago, the L train next to my house runs 24 hours a day -- better than Madrid's subways timewise, even if there aren't enough lines to really cover the whole city. We also needed to buy a car, sadly. Another possession that owns us.

What sort of vehicle did you guys end up with?

Yeah. About cheap wine: I used to be a cheaper date.

As for the car, we have a Chevy Sonic, 2015, low mileage. My husband did extensive research on the internet and found it. We bought it from Carmax, and it was pretty expensive, but also close to new, so it probably won't need much in repairs for a long time.
