I picked up a belt sander for $5 from a garage sale Saturday and a band saw for $25 and the big flea market on Walden. Now if I only had a place to set it up ;-) (That's a longer term goal of mine, getting a workshop area.)

Thanks. It all started when I started looking at some of the computer controled equiptment and asking myself where I would put it. I was figuring on inviting you over if I get something (a small CNC router is expensive, but I could pull it off.) I figured if nothing else, steampunk possibilities.

I'm starting on the cheap end. I've got CAD software, so I need to spend more time learning how to use it. Once I feel I can do something with it, I'll seriously consider the hardware.

And in any case, a workshop would be great :)
