My trip to San Francisco turned out to be more of a vacation than a business trip. My experience with shopping my business plan was discouraging. Seems that with the package I have developed and the current market - there is little or no interest that I can find in investment. Things may be different in the entertainment world versus the technology world, but recruiter generally think they know about all the jobs and how to get into them. Unfortunately, they only see the positions that the parent companies allow them to see. I would give their "i know it all" opinion little weight.

Also, attacking a secondary market like Atlanta or Miami may be easier to crack.

In the entertainment industry, nearly all jobs are gotten through friends or recruiters. Unfortunately the "secondary" markets aren't really the same. If I want to work in news then working for a local station would be fine - working with creative content for TV is all done on the network level. Which means I have to work for the big guy.

I appreciate the good wishes though.
