So, a friend that has lived in LA for years was driving me around this weekend. We drove passed all the famous tourist spots that we could in a short time. I saw some nice things, the rest of the city was not so pretty though

And you're right; I know what smell you're talking about. Funny how some of those people's dreams come true after they're dead.

Have you seen the Steve Martin movie, "L.A. Story?" Now is a good time for you to revisit it. It's really only funny to people who've been there and can recognize that smell.

"He thinks that if they turned off the sprinklers, this place would revert back into a desert. I see a place where they've taken a desert and turned it into their dreams."
