I hate moving. It's tedious and often painful work. It seems to go on forever. And I've done too much of it in the last two years ( Read more... )

The reason things never change is that people are always waiting for someone else to DO SOMETHING when they themselves need to DO SOMETHING. Move out of the city onto enough land to grow your own food, or a portion of it. There, that's a start!

Well, my beef is more with the technology end of Corporate North America. I believe I could "hook" into the internet directly, with a lot of expensive equipment and really high monthly fees, etc. So, I guess WE, the consumer, get what we pay for. It's just unfortunate that the top execs at these companies continue to get rich while we get poor.

To your point, unless you want to live in isolation, growing your own food only serves to provide for yourself and your family. Many professional farmers have a hard time surviving, let alone making a living from providing food for the rest of us.

The system is designed to line the pockets of the rich. And our governments pander to the rich, no matter how much they try to tell us differently. The class system is still in effect, and will continue to be so as long as people serve greed.
