[This is said so flat and low that it is probably... rather offputting. The last holiday season, Javert remembers, was not the most jolly Christmastimes of all. Not that Inspector Javert is accustomed to jolly holidays. No; the police are more intimately familiar with the drunken antics of lunatics and angry gang members during this time of year.]
Expect the snow to remain all winter long. An overestimation, maybe, but not by much.
