Hey, what happened to your career plans? I thought they were pretty well established. You seem to be in a bit of a funk lately...something going on or is it just the holiday blahs?

Well, I'd really like to go back to school and get an MLS, but I'm not sure my undergrad grades will get me in. I really need to go talk to an admissions counselor and see what's going on with that this year.

I'm also not thrilled with going into school debt, but that bridge also needs to be crossed later.

I guess I'm a bit discouraged because I was hoping that I could turn this Library job into something full time but I've not seen one posting for a full time job (it's for 6-7 libraries) since I've been working there so they are slimmer than I thought it seems.

I also got sick of Borders faster than I thought I would, I think I would enjoy it a lot more if it was part time.

Yeah, definitely check it out before you get down about it. I wonder if your perfect grade on the exam to get the library job would have clout on an application. I've been under the impression that you're a very adept learner and sometimes experience can count for more than grades. From what I hear, you're on the right track with the library job although I'm sorry it hasn't expanded in the way you'd hoped.

I'm guessing that the holiday season in any type of retail would leave anyone feeling burned out.

No, I don't think so. It was a pretty simple test, but I have some other life experience (the year and a half at the bindery) that will probably hold some clout and I have good recommendations.

I think it will work out, I just have to go talk to someone, and you are right, I am jumping the gun on my negativity there.
