I remember when, early in this series, Sherlock could not say, "I love you" to John. Now, each time he says those words, it tugs at my heart. Another beautiful chapter in this brilliant series. These offerings from you are always worth any wait involved. Thank you!

Beautiful as always. The very intense good-bye makes me think something awful is about to happen, but I don't want to jinx things by trying to figure out what!

That was interesting how you worked in the reference to A Study in Pink. Did John also shoot someone to protect Sherlock in this verse?

:( :( :( WHY CAN'T I JUST BE HAPPY FOR THEM? No, apparently not, I must cry while I smile because this fic gives me way too many feelings. But seriously, I hope John'll be alright. What if he gets rejected again from the hospital (which is fairly likely)? Oh no, I don't think my heart can take that.
