Today at school was Day of Prayer. So, I prayed. And in case any of you are wondering what it was like, I shall tell you. We all came in, sang, and they passed out a booklet. Then they asked us to pray a thansgiving testimonial prayer to God, and to write it out after reading a New Testament passage about God's character. Whichever one we liked. ( Read more... )

Umm, can I ask what you mean when you say "unsaved"?

Unsaved (n): 1. One who has not accepted by faith (alone.)the work Jesus did on the Cross as the only way into heaven. 2. One who is not saved. 3. One who has not prayed the "sinners prayer"* and repented of ones sins. 4. One who has not been saved from eternal punishment in Hell.

*The sinners prayer can make it sound as if there is a set prayer that if you say it, you will automatically get into heaven. This is not the case. There are various models of the prayer to guide unsaved people through generally what to say... but it's not a set thing. THe whole point of salvation is faith in Jesus and His work on the cross to take away your sins, accepting His work, or gift to us as the only way to Heaven, and confessing your sins and telling God you accept His Son's gift. That's the point.

I hope I defined it well. If not, I'll try to clarify it better. :o)

That part is clear. :o) I guess I just wanted to ask a different thing but couldn't formulate it, so ended up with the question you saw. What I mean is why you think that those people you mentioned were unsaved. Friends and...anyway, I'm sure you understood my incoherent thought. If it's not too personal...?

Too personal? Hardly! The whole world needs to hear it!

There are a number of reasons why I think a few of my friends are unsaved.

Part of it is like how you can tell a fellow country men when you're visiting a foreign country. Things they do or say, ways they act, sometimes how they look, various things like that. Sometimes it is things that they do not say. And... in a way, it's just something that you know, sense, see...

On occasion, it's been flat out admittal.

I wish I could explain it better, but words are not working for me. :o( Brain es dead.
