BASICS:
Name: Jenna.
Age: 21.
General Location: NYC.
Three positive adjectives describing you:
1. Comical. I can make a joke or laugh about almost any situation I end up in.
2. Creative. I'm a resourceful person and if my plans fall through on something I can usually quickly come up with a back-up plan.
3. Passionate. Once I have my mind and heart set on something, there's little one can do to dissuade me.
Three negative adjectives describing you:
1. Moody. I'm an intense person and I have a lot of highs and lows.
2. Cynical. It takes me a while to open up to new people and I usually see everything as the proverbial glass being half empty.
3. Harsh. I can get very impatient with people and I'll lose any compassion or understanding I might have otherwise for the other person. Things fly out of my mouth I probably wouldn't have said if my temper wasn't pushed to the limit. My moron tolerance is very low.
Do you have a preference on race or gender? (one or the other): No.
THIS OR THAT: (there's room for both in some cases)
Love or War: Love. War should only be an option when it's a matter of self defense or survival.
Strength or Mercy: Strength. You need strength to have mercy. Without strength, you'll have no conviction behind any of your beliefs.
Determined or Accepting: Determined. There's no such thing as fate, you make your own fate, no one can take your future away from you but you.
Making your own Destiny or Accepting Fate: See above answer. Making your own destiny.
Life or Death: Life. But death if it means I'm defending the ones I love.
Brave or Safe: Brave. No asking 'what if' questions.
GENERAL LOTR QUESTIONS:
Which is your favorite movie: The first one. The battle between Gadalf and the Balrog was done ridiculously well.
Book?: The Return of the King. I thought the character development was the most interesting and it really allowed Gollum to progress as a character.
Favorite character and why: I can't pick between my three favorite; Gollum, Gandalf and Aragorn. I like Aragorn because he's what I wish I could be. He has all the traits I'd ideally like to possess. Gollum because when you think about it, he's rather easy to relate to. He's a flawed character and that makes him incredibly lovable to me. And Gandalf because of his representation throughout the stories. It's insane the kind of impact characters can have on you when you're merely reading a book. Whenever he came into the story I would sit up straighter, pay closer attention, so on and so forth.
Who do you relate to the most?: Gollum. I'm a recovering addict and when I was a senior in high school I had to compare my addiction to Gollum's addiction to the ring and its power.
What got you into the fandom?: I wouldn't say I'm "into the fandom" per se. I just really enjoyed the books and I happen to be a big Andy Serkis fan, so the two went hand in hand.
If you could live anywhere in Middle-earth, where would it be?: Lothlórien, because I was born and raised in NYC, and I can't think of any place more different.
What would you do with the One Ring?: Find someone more knowledgeable on the subject than myself. I wouldn't want to shoulder that burden.
If you could have a Ring with any power, what would it be?: Invisibility. That's the one "supernatural" type power I wish I had. My curiosity is hazardous at times.
How'd you find us? The lovely mod is also the mod of
lostcounterpart and I was browing while at work and thought I'd give it a go.
Post a picture of yourself (in costume is great!), if you have one and are comfortable doing this. If not, just describe yourself:
Eh. I look the same in all photos I take, so here's just one.
