1) Rivendell. It seems to comfortable, peaceful, and has a lot of singing Elves. I would prefer to be an Elf, myself, if I lived there, though, but I hear tey support Hobbits and Dunadan women, too

There aren't many places in Middle Earth that I'd care to be, frankly. I have high standards of comfort. Bag End, obviously. A very des res indeed. The Lonely Isle would be interesting,just to see what kind of culture elves have when they're on their own. Numenor, before they went to the bad. Doriath before its fall, to be able to perhaps meet Melian. Nargothrond, to meet Finrod.
But really, my ultimate fantasy home?
Blandings Castle - Wodehouse's is the only world where nothing horrid is guaranteed to happen to anyone, including me.
