I have to agree with you. I mean, killing off Sirius didn't stop the Remus/Sirius slash. She thinks giving Remus a girlfriend is going to do it? I don't think so. Whatever. Trying to stop slash fic is like trying to convince people that porn is bad.

Yeah, I remember hearing about that. But after Deathly Hallows cam out, she admitted that she wrote Dumbledore as a gay character which sort of puts forward the question: is she against gay couples? or is she only fond of single gays?

And I think the whole thing about trying to dissuade fanfic authors from slashing her characters was just silly of her. Harry/Draco is possible because hate can be fueled by passion and once conquered can easily became love. Not so far fetched. Although my fave is Harry/Tom. Not so easily imagined bit, well, it is FANFICTION after all. Imagination is our greatest weapon.

And just for the record, Remus/Sirius, is the easiest pairing to see in the book. Remus is devastated that Sirius supposedly betrayed the Potters, but he's hesitant to really believe it. All we have to do, is read and imagine and the lines simply...match.
