Again, only one winner because there were only four submissions. I think I'm all caught up now, though! Hoorah.

Very precise and such a way with words! Loved the jagged descriptions of the 'textures' of lust and love (and wasn't this nice: "People conquered love...lust conquered people"?). It felt poetic and quite meaningful. The author's use of colors for love and blackwhitegrey for lust helped reinforce her idea of lust being harder, a sharp sort of emotion that existed on a spectrum instead of a palette. The use of artist imagery helped tie to subject and the emotion together.

note
Comments are screened so people can express their opinions. If you just want to leave someone some kind words, go at it. The comment will be unscreened, as kind words are lovely. On the other side, if you feel as if you were done some injustice, speak up. If you just want to rant to get something off your chest, go right ahead. No one else will see the comment. If you want a response to your comment, leave an email address so one of the judges can get back to you. We won't go out of our way to explain why we chose the fics we did, but if we can offer some sort of consolation, we will.
