Me and Cara have been wracking our brains for quotes but apparently not only does Sean [Astin] never say anything funny, he also is completely incapable of finishing a complete sentence before he starts a new one.

My fandom never shuts up. And yet he never says anything.

I have to leap to the defense of our Sam - I saw him last weekend in Denver and he can be pretty darn funny.

The Tolkien Society, Denver chapter, presented him with what we called the Golden Coney Award (- a gold-painted rabbit named "Oscar" with a little basket on its back that was filled with pots and pans. His response, in part: "I'm proud to accept the nomination on behalf of my party....Ooops! Wrong delusion!" That cracked people up.
