"Oh pretty maids, with patience wait, that have got loves at sea."

Screw love. Screw anything that promotes love. Screw all of my literary heroes for telling me lies that I buy into about love. Screw everyone from Shakespeare to Hallmark and everyone in between.

I just want to get rid of all of you.

I share your thoughts.

Latest poem?

Shut my heart to this foul bane

Release my soul from this horrid pain

And let ice grow where once grew green

Let Winter strip this garden clean

From this vice, let me be purged

Bitter to what once Nature urged

Pluck its roots and let them freeze

Rip the branches off the trees

From this foul rot, set me free

Let love never again blossom in me

Wow. That's way more eloquent than my entry. Although I'm letting poems like Lady of Shalott speak for me, rather than writing my own poetry right now, so that makes sense. But no worries- I have no intention of floating myself down a river.

Seriously, though. That's depressing, but beautiful in its own way. I like the fact that you used an older style for it, and the imagery is very nice.
