So, I saw Batman...
And first just let me say
OMFG the Watchmen preview!!!!11!!1!!111!11
I don't think I've ever had to restrain myself from screaming so badly before, and man was it painful. The shivers down my spine were fantastic, and everything looked just bloody perfect. I gasped so loud and was freaking out so much in my seat that the guy next to me leaned over and asked what the movie was. Of course, I blabbed some half-coherent nothings about superheroes but not, and psychological thrillers, and the pure and utter BRILLIANCE that is Watchmen. I think I may have scared him a bit, but he sounded interested. Definitely - definitely - made up for not seeing the Half-Blood Prince trailer like I thought was going to happen.
But seriously. I was extremely worried when I heard they were making a movie of it. But the people doing this movie know what the hell they're doing. Everything I could see was exactly like the GN, and of everything, it's the little details, the little clues, the steady little press of an extra weight to keep the tension rising and rising...that's what makes Watchmen. And Rorschach too, of course. But if a clinically psychotic vigilante doesn't make a story, I don't know what does. =)
Speaking of vigilantes!
What can I really say about The Dark Knight? It was fantastic, of course, as we all knew it would be. Heath was perfect. You don't really see the dedication it takes to play a role like that in very many actors anymore.
...
Everything there is to say about it has already been said, I think. I'm sure I'll see it a few more times, and maybe have things to add. Right now my mind is screaming 'WATCHMEN!!!' at me too loudly for me to think about much else.
Except how very very much I'll miss Heath.
(It's going to be the best 22nd birthday a girl ever had)
Just look for yourself.
