Okay, of late I have seemed to be the go to guy for advice and other emotional support. From friends and some people from work, I mean I don't mind. I just find it interesting, why me but my actual point's are

Hey there ... I know what you mean, I often find myself in the same situation of supporting a person in need. When it comes to helping them fend for themselves, just introduce the idea slowly and subtly ... depending on the situation, of course, you can drop suggestions to them about how to get themselves out there and meeting new people (for example).
As for pool ... Gawd, I suck severely at pool. Tragic - my pa was once ACT champ, and I couldn't sink a ball into one of those pockets even if my life depended on it hehe ... unless it was a fluke ... but a night out might be good in the coming weeks - I bet I'll get bored sitting around at home because my mates are caught up in Wedding Fever and thus busy!
wow. people would come to me for relationship advice then tell me to get screwed and that i dont know what im talking about just coz i have a b/f. gr... now i tell them to get bent unless theyre actually going to listen to what i have to say.
I'm single and they are asking me, "hey lets get relationship advice from the single guy"! slightly curious if you ask me, but hey I haven't led anyone astray yet. I don't mind doing it n giving advice, my problem falls into the catagory. Of my friend is asking me everything, like where to take a women on a date. what to do n say, what she is thinking and wether its a go or a no. all the basic shit people should work out on their own. Also he asks me other advice about ex's n shit, as one is giving him hell. (has a child with her). I mean why is it someone can allow themself to become so dependant on someone. Shit I have to do all the talking if we go out, and a women expresses interest in him. Oh the fun..
you're leading a double life without even meaning to. tell him that being dependant is a bad thing and thats how he is becoming/become. giving advice is one thing, but this seems a little ridiculous. tell him to wing it next time he talks to some chick. you should run away and leave him with her for a little while to make him see he CAN actually talk to women.
my friends just listen to my advice then abuse me for not being in the same situation as them. wtf, ive been single and bummed out about it before! augh!
I've left him to it, he was good for the first 5 min. then I heard about his failure for the next hour. I don't know what he does but most of them completely dismiss him on the first date. Then rarely talk to him, what he does I do not know. As for telling him, done that but sometimes he doesn't get the bluntest of hints.
Not everyone is rational with regards to emotional stress. I find it amusing because people completely lose all sense of reality and logic.
