In light of recent events I felt obligated -- no, compelled to thrust my opinion to others. Feel free to comment.
We live in a time of great decision.
With the "Wars" raging over seas, and the "Wars" at home, elections, unemployment, olympic doping scandals, upcoming footbal season, the economy, Martha Stewart & Kobe Bryant, the new survivor, and many other Earth-shattering developments both home and abroad, I felt it was time to take a stand on the most powerful place in the world (sorry Microsoft).
The United States of America.
Let me explain that our country is not run by one person.
The president is just a show.
No one person in our country wields supreme power (Kings & Queens of Middle Ages) but people they put into office do.
I'm a believer that the president's policies run this country, not themselves.
No one in their right mind believes that Mr. Bush (I call him Mr. because I did not vote for him and he is not my president - we're a republic, not a democracy - listen to the pledge of allegience) could have the intellect or know-how to do presidently duties.
Cabinets and court judges implement policies and do more than the president ever could.
Would the Guantanamo Bay inmates be tried under Lincoln or Washington?
And don't tell me Congress gets the job done.
Most congressmen are corrupt sheep that don't have any "jobs" but send you junk mail and will kill families for votes, for they don't have to work. There are no "mandatory" sessions of Congress, and they get a break for almost 1/3th of the year.
It doesn't matter who's party they are with, they always cancel each other out with their scandals and idiocracy.
(Basically they are worthless overpaid moron millionares.)
Thanks G.W for our tax breaks.
Instead of sending us checks in the mail....why didn't you just remove that amount from everyone's income taxes? or property taxes? You obviously knew we had taxes to pay...so why not do it that way? Instead of giving people cash in the mail (which cost how much?), subtract it from our taxes.
Of course not, the economists would laugh at you.
I personally think you could have sold a few tanks and given everybody the proceeds and you would have had more than enough to go around.
Kinda like the census...
you know enough that I existed...
why did you send me the form?
No matter what John Kerry's opinions are (or his opponents will have us believe), or the lies he may or may not have said, I do not forsee him totally bombing the crap out of two sovereign independent nations and killing HOW MANY U.S soldiers, U.N workers, and civilians.
Yes, I blame G.W and his policies for every single US casualty..
By the way, approx. 4x's the number killed are wounded.....but you never see that on the news.
Grand Total: (8/31/04 - 984 killed, 3936 wounded)
For what?
How do you define what is a civilian casualty and what is a TERRORIST casualty?
Show me a terrorist, and I'll show you an individual who wants to step it up and willing to die for policies and any cost. Honorable...maybe. Violent...yes. I'm not glorifying those who will kill themselves to hurt America....
But let's take a minute to define a "terrorist."
We have this war on terror.
Kinda like the war on drugs...but nobody remembers that war (its still going on people).
REMEMBER! Terrorists are the enemy.
Basically, the point I'm trying to make...is that most terrorists are just a plain old GUY. Just an ordinary guy who probably has a family. He is uneducated and unemployed. Someone says...hey, do you want to help me go kill some Americans......I'll pay you...and he says OK!
Give him a turban, an Ak-47, a bomb belt....and a poor mastery of the English language and the stereotype is complete.
Instead of trying to stop him...wouldn't a better idea be to ask yourselves....why does he hate America?
Granted, you cannot negotiate with fanatacism...but the underlying theme here is to not put a bucket under the drip.....but to find the source of the problem and FIX IT.
But not with a bomb or a tank...
With policy changes and a revision of ideas.
Foreign Policy be damned!
Increasing your walls only makes the terrorist taller.
Think about it.
No matter how much we defend our borders, strip search and scour our people..
They will try harder.
A plane today, a bus tomorow.
Hostages here, toxic waste there.
It is like holding your hand over a faucet.
Tom Ridge is a big fat moron.
He did great things for Pennsylvania's education (wait no) and he took a big step from messing up Pennsylvania *which I'm from* to messing up our wonderful country.
Did we not ever think that the haters of America would mobilize together or their resources would become powerful?
--------EXAMPLE-------
What stops me from driving a car full of explosives into a gas station or bus stop or post office or a bank???
NOTHING but my own morals and logic and intelligence.
I have more to lose than say....a homeless Saudi citizen.
I do not hate America.
I have no qualms with the greatest country in the world.
But would that make me a terrorist if I did it on a whim??
No doubt you'd see on the news "terrorist attack".
The media has no other way to describe it.
Granted, I will be frank and say I am not voting for John Kerry for what he believes in. I do not really care.
I am voting for him because a vote NOT for him, is a vote FOR George Bush and I'm sick of his moronic crap.
Hell, I'd vote for a monkey if that is what was on the ticket.
I don't want his policies to continue.
I don't want Americans to be booed at the Olympics.
I don't want American stupidity & aggression to continue.
Botox'd face or not, my vote is for John Kerry.
We have been duped into believing that everything is ok with America.
I think G.W's platform should be ----
Help and deflect our president's ineptitude by supporting a war that bombs people who cannot vote!
You can yap about how the war in Iraq "removed a dictator from power" or "we know he had biological weapons". Horseshit!
North Korea has told us several times they have weapons...
but we haven't invaded them...yet.
Iraq LOOKS like they have them........ATTACK!
The leaders of China, Cuba, and North Korea have human rights atrocities miles long....invading them would be an outrage.
In these countries they treat outsiders like kings...but their own people starve in the streets.
You only see what they want you want to see. But Iraq...well....nobody will care. ATTACK!
You can claim that Iraq violated many U.N mandates. Ok. Agreed.
Do you know who was 2nd on the list of U.N violations ....THE USA! ATTACK!! er... wait.
And don't tell me that the Iraqis wanted freedom and it was our "Right" to give it to them.
How free are they now?
Only free to go outside and killed by an errant U.S bomb, or carbomb or Iraqi suicide squad.
I cannot get over how it is American policy to GIVE people rights.
I hate to break it to you Donald Rumsfeld.....The constitution and bill of rights only covers AMERICAN citizens.
You can't forcefeed freedoms by shoving them down someone's throat with a BOMB!
Just because you are born and raised in the USA, doesn't mean you allocate those rights to others.
Sure, its a great idea...but let people think for themselves.
I'm sure the freedom fighters of India, Mexico, France, et al. would have clearly enjoyed American infiltration to push for independence.
Chechnyans want freedom, the Kashmiris, the Palestinians, the people of East Timor and hell, even the Quebecois.
It doesn't mean you invade with tanks and warplanes and beat the living shit out of the infrastructure which you just need to rebuild in the coming days, months, years, or decades.
So go and tell those "terrorists" that it is wrong to stand up for their rights, or American will crush you.
We will build you back up into a country more "Friendly" to the USA.
I'm done. Lets bring our boys home.
