John's quote of the day

Mar 03, 2004 08:46

"If the first roundabout doesn't get 'em, the second one will take 'em out for sure."

-John, on how the bridge roundabouts create ideal conditions for natural selection on the way into downtown from the West side. :-)

After months of painstaking design charettes and citizen input, the roundabouts were chosen by popular demand.

Kinda ironic, huh?

To provide challenges in spatial orientation and split second reasoning, in the long run creating a higher level of intellectual development and eye hand motor coordination among our local populace. It's brilliant. I've noted similar projects in Lacey were implementing a confusing flashing signboard to provide an extra level of visual stimulation.

Of course.. I posted this to tease you ;-)

I do need teasing...I'm taking life a little too serious today.

I love the roundabouts, they're going to increase anarchy. Unfortunately, its a sort of road rage style mayhem, which is a pretty cheap form of entertainment.

What has become of me...

You have become bitter....like me....I watched a hick slam into a state trooper yesterday not realizing that you cannot turn left from the right hand lane. I am sure he did not die, but slamming into a police officer is still funny. I had to pull off to the side of the road in order to stop laughing.
