Six seasons and a movie!

Well, looks like yet another show I love is doomed to die. But, maybe, just maybe, given the small but wildly enthusiastic fanbase and all, things could improve. I'm thinking they might. I've seen a few petitions floating around, and you can always go to NBC's website and tell them how much you like the show and want it to stick around. Also, ( Read more... )

I love this meme, it's one of my favorites after the fic commentary one.

In re: Community, all I want is for them to get the four seasons required for the gang to graduate. I think any longer than that would be too much, but I do want them to get enough time to wrap things up and they can't with what they have left in this season.

Also, I think Obama's probably going to veto that law even if it does pass, so don't worry too much ;)

Right? It's pretty great.

Yeah, four seasons would be great. I'm curious how they would manage a fifth season, but four would round things out best.

Hopefully.

Maybe I'll do it next week, I've got a couple of new songs of interest...

I basically trust Dan Harmon, about as much as I trust any show runner, and the writers seem a little more self aware than certain other NBC shows have been, so I'm sure they'd figure something out.

Plus from my cursory quick reading of the bill they wouldn't have shut down anything automatically; they'd just have the right too. Should they have to.

I swear I think about doing it so often, I have no idea how I end up waiting two years to actually do it.

Yeah, but I'll be shocked if they get a fifth season.

Still, not a thing that should be happening.

I don't follow Community but how in danger is it? Like low ratings people are worried, or NBC has said some things that are setting off alarms? As a fan of Chuck, I can attest to the fact that NBC is definitely willing to give low rated, but quirky and critically acclaimed shows further seasons if they have the room on their schedule. Especially if an extra season helps for syndication purposes.

Well, they've basically shelved it for an indeterminate length of time and reshuffled their Thursday line-up so there's no room for it. But, yeah, I think we're all kind of hoping the syndication carrot will be enough to let it come back.
