So apparently we got up to 42.9 degrees in Perth today (that's 109.2 for those of you backwards fahrenheit people! :P) which is the hottest January day we've had since 1991.  I have been afraid to open the doors of the house lest the heat come in and turn us to mush.  And even with the aircon running and the house shut up tight it's a little warmer
